Gwendolyn Ann Clark Cavin, 86, departed this life for her heavenly home on January 14, 2021 in Fort Worth, Texas.  She was the wife of Dr. David E. Cavin with whom she shared 63 years of marriage.

Memorials:  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her honor to Happy Hill Farm, 3846 N. Highway 144, Granbury, Texas 76048; to Opening Doors for Women in Need, 3600 Horne Street, Fort Worth, Texas 76107; or to Southcliff Church, 4100 SW Loop 820, Fort Worth, Texas 76109.

Born in Fort Worth, Texas on November 1, 1934, she was the daughter of G.D. and Babe Clark.  She graduated from Arlington Heights High School in Fort Worth, Gulf Park College in Gulfport, Mississippi, and earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Texas Christian University.  She was a retired Fort Worth ISD school teacher.  In addition, she faithfully served as a loving pastor’s wife at Westridge Baptist Church for more than 25 years.  She loved her family, church family, and friends dearly, and hundreds of people annually received birthday and anniversary cards, for as long as she was physically able to send them.  She was a beautiful lady known for her style and grace, but those who knew her loved her even more for her beautiful spirit of Christ-likeness, kindness, and zest for life.  The family would love to thank her faithful, loving caregivers at St. John’s Residential Care Home and Beyond Faith Hospice for their devotion to her and to our dad.

Gwendolyn was preceded in death by her parents, G.D. and Babe Clark, and her son-in-law, Tim Collier.

Survivors:  Gwendolyn Cavin is survived by her husband, David E. Cavin.  God blessed their marriage with their four children, Caren Tyer (Logan), Cathy Collier (Mark), Clark Cavin (Lisa), and Clay Cavin (Cheyenne).  She is also survived by her brother, Butch Clark (Kay).  In addition, she is survived by her loving grandchildren, Tiffany Tyer, Brittany Moreland (Mike), Cavin Collier (Lindsey), Cameron Collier (Jackie), Carson Collier (Julie), David Collier (Amanda), Angela Collins (Christian), Cassidy Martin, Caroline Cavin, Meredith Walling (Andrew), Mason Garrett, Marcus Garrett, and Caylin Cavin.  God also blessed her with 19 great-grandchildren, six nieces, many extended family members and a host of friends.
