Gloria Jean Burnett, 93, passed away Sunday, May 17, 2020 surrounded by her loving family.

Graveside services: 11:00 a.m., Thursday, May 21, 2020 in De Leon Cemetery, De Leon, Texas. Visitation: 2-4:00 p.m., Wednesday at Winscott Road Funeral Home, 1001 Winscott Road, Benbrook, Texas 76126.

Gloria Burnett was born July 10, 1926 in De Leon, Texas to Samuel Reese Upshaw and Roxie Anna Locke Upshaw, one of six children. She was a pianist from the age of 3. She spent a lifetime playing for churches, specifically 50 plus years for Forest Hill United Methodist Church, and other churches as well, and teaching senior citizens at TCC, and even her own granddaughter. Gloria retired as a secretary with the Everman ISD. She was a 50 plus years member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Everman and Crowley, Texas.

Gloria is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert Wayne Burnett; her daughter, Anna Louise Burnett Gore; her first born son, Robert Wayne Burnett, Jr.; and her five siblings.

Survivors: Son, Randy Burnett and wife, Lisa; grandchildren, Lauren Lynn Stewart and husband, Jonathan, and Adam Burnett and wife, Katlin; great-grandchildren, Eleanor Stewart, Clara Stewart, and Emmett Burnett; daughter-in-law, Geneva Burnett; son-in-law, Ed Gore; loving nieces; and a large supportive and loving family.
