Glenda Cox

April 18, 1939 — October 4, 2025

Fort Worth

Glenda Cox, age 86, passed away peacefully on October 4, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on April 18, 1939, in Weatherford, Texas, to Walter and Juanita Smith, Glenda lived a life marked by unwavering devotion, deep curiosity, and a vibrant spirit that graced all who knew her.

In 1990, Glenda married her true love, C.C. Cox. Together, they formed a partnership grounded in respect, unwavering support, and enduring love. Over the years, they built more than just a life together—they built businesses, shared dreams, and faced challenges side by side. While their ventures brought success and fulfillment, Glenda and C.C. always knew their greatest accomplishment was the life they built together. A fierce matriarch, Glenda was the cornerstone of her family. Her family always knew they had a steady and prepared hand to guide them, a sharp mind to learn from, and a loving presence to lean on.

Glenda had a passion for both the practical and the frivolous, and balanced the two by online shopping while closely watching the stock market. An epistemophiliac at heart, Glenda's endless curiosity and love for learning created conversations that were as rich and engaging as they were warm and generous. Glenda was preceded in death by her parents, Juanita and Walter, and her brother, Weldon. She is survived by her husband, C.C. Cox; her brother, Louis Smith; her daughter, April Bunn, and husband, David; her daughter, Elizabeth Kell, and partner, Alicia Taylor; her stepson, Travis Cox; her granddaughter, Gabrielle Clements, and husband, Chris; and her grandson, John Bunn, and her great-grandchildren, Paisley Clements and Liam Bunn.

Glenda also leaves an everlasting gift—a family who never once had to question her love, nor their own for her.
