Erelen Everitt

Erelen L. Hengst Everitt, beloved wife and mother, passed away peacefully in Hudson Oaks, Texas on December 27, 2022.   She was ninety-six years old and resided in Burleson, Texas.

Funeral Services: 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 6, 2023 at Winscott Road Funeral Home.   Visitation will be held from 1 -2:00 p.m on the same day.

Erelen was born on December 17, 1926 to Oswald and Annie Hengst in Nordheim, Texas.   She was the oldest of seven children.   She married Everett “Binky” Everitt in 1943 in Nixon, Texas.  They went on to have three children:   Everett Everitt Jr., Eileen Everitt Crites, and Eugene Everitt.  Erelen loved being with family and sharing stories of days gone by.

She was predeceased by her husband, Binky; her parents, Oswald and Annie; her daughter, Eileen Everitt Crites; brothers, Lawrence, Delbert, and Glenn Hengst; and sisters, Betty Rummel, and Vernell Sanders.

Erelen is survived by her two sons and their spouses; Everett and Diane Everitt of Benbrook, Texas, and Eugene and Cathy Everitt of Bedford, Texas; a sister, Ruth Cherry of San Antonio, Texas; a son-in-law, David Crites of Paris, Texas; six grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
