Donna Jean Zak

Donna Jean Zak, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully in her sleep after a courageous battle with cancer and kidney failure. She was born on December 3, 1953, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to Dinah and Samuel Meta.

Donna met the love of her life, Leonard Zak, while they were still in high school. They immediately fell in love, and what began as a high school romance grew into a beautiful marriage and a lifetime together. Donna and Leonard shared more than 58 years of love, laughter, adventures, and memories. Together, they traveled the world, visiting some of the most beautiful and exotic places, always creating new stories and experiences to share.

Donna was a devoted mother to her two children, Lenny Zak (and his spouse, Tiffany) and Tracey Zak (and her spouse, Thomas Bennett). Her children were among the greatest joys of her life, and she loved them both deeply. She was also a proud and loving grandmother to four wonderful grandchildren: Brittany Zak, Kennedy Zak, Lillian Johnson, and Maxwell Johnson. Donna and Leonard cherished their grandchildren and were incredibly proud of each of them.

Donna was also a highly accomplished accountant. Through hard work, intelligence, and determination, she built a successful career and ultimately rose to become Vice President of a large company. She was admired for her dedication, professionalism, and strong work ethic.

Although Donna accomplished much throughout her career, her greatest accomplishments were the relationships she built and the love she gave to her family. She will be remembered for her strength, generosity, adventurous spirit, and most of all, the love she had for Leonard, her children, and her grandchildren.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Dinah and Samuel Meta.

She leaves behind a family who will miss her deeply, but will forever carry her memory in their hearts. Her life was filled with love, adventure, family, and accomplishments. The memories she created with those she loved will remain for generations to come.

Donna's journey may have come to an end, but the love she gave and the lives she touched will never be forgotten.
