Donna Wood

Donna Wood was born March 16, 1933 in Salem, Illinois and made her transition on July 21, 2016.
Memorial Service: 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 30, 2016 at Winscott Road Funeral Home, 1001 Winscott Road, Benbrook.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, please contribute to the Alzheimer's Association.
Donna was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. In addition to her love of family, she was a lifelong Methodist, she loved her cats, always enjoyed her jewelry and a new outfit, watching golf on television, and in earlier years traveling the world. She was always eager to "pitch in" for getting things done large and small. She always cared for everyone in her sphere.
As she said recently, "I've had a wonderful life." Her family sends her on to Heaven in love and peace.
Donna is survived by her husband of almost 63 years, Bill; her two brothers,Dick (Marilyn) and David (Linda); her children Philip (Judy), Beth (Tom), and David (Nena); her five grandchildren; one great grandson; as well as three step-grandchildren and six step-great grandchildren.
