Donald Lincoln Nowlin, 86, passed away January 31, 2016.
Funeral: 2:00 p.m., Thursday at First Baptist Church of Benbrook, 1015 McKinley St., Benbrook. Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m., Wednesday at First Baptist Church. Burial: Rio Vista Cemetery.
Don was born Aug. 21, 1929, the sixth of eleven children, to Joe and Hattie Nowlin of Dawson. He graduated from Dawson High School. Don worked for Convair/General Dynamics for 42 years. Most of those years were spent in the transportation Dept. He worked for the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo for many years. Don was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Benbrook, serving on the properties committee, and teaching Sunday school for ten years. He went on multiple mission trips to build churches. He was a Mason, loved sports, golfing, hunting, bowling and fishing.
Don is preceded in death by his parents, six siblings, and twin grandsons.
Survivors: Loving wife of 34 years, Betty Nowlin; daughters, Debbie Sedwick, Teresa Woods and husband, Dennis, and Cherry Wedgeworth and husband, Tony; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; extended family, DiAnne Kuykendall, Alan Kuykendall and wife, Dawn, Karla Kuykendall; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; four siblings, and many nieces and nephews.
