Dennis L. Strickland

Dennis L. Strickland, 87, passed away January 6, 2026, surrounded by the people who loved him most.

Graveside Military Honors are pending at The Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery, in Dallas, Texas, later this month.

Dennis L. Strickland was born in Lake City, Iowa on January 9, 1938. He graduated high school and joined the U.S. Air Force in 1956. He served proudly until his retirement in 1977 as a Master Sergeant. He later worked for USPS for 21 years and retired as a Station Manager. With his wife by his side, they spent their retirement traveling to many places and enjoyed lots of time spent with family and friends.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Pauline Strickland; older brother, Richard “Dick” Strickland; and younger brothers, Gary “Butch” Strickland and Steven Strickland.

Dennis is survived by his loving wife, Diana Strickland; daughter, Kelli Strickland; grandsons, Caden and Ryan Deats; siblings, Karen Legore, Jack Strickland, Daryl Strickland, Jerry Strickland, Randy Strickland, and Joni Hepp; along with many nieces and nephews.
