Dennis Frederick

Dennis Frederick, 77, passed away September 29, 2022, at a local hospice facility, surrounded by his loving family.  Dennis was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and soon to be great-grandfather.

Memorial Service:  11:00 a.m., Monday, October 17, 2022, at Winscott Road Funeral Home.  There will be a reception following his memorial service at the American Legion Post 626, 1125 Burton Hill Road, Fort Worth, Texas 76114.  Graveside committal with military honors is scheduled for 11:15 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 18th at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.

Dennis was born to James and Magdalen Frederick in Butler, PA, the youngest of three children.  He graduated from Butler High School in 1964.  He was a Vietnam Veteran, serving and retiring from the U.S. Air Force.  Dennis worked for the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Department as a Jailor and retired as a Sheriff Deputy.  He was a proud and faithful member of American Legion 626.  Dennis was an avid golfer until his health prevented him from playing.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Norma Knauer; and stepdaughter, Amanda Mitchell.

Survivors include his loving wife, Marilyn; daughter, Nicole Lafrance and husband, Michael; stepson, John Mitchell; four grandchildren, Whitney, Lexi, and John Mitchell, and Lauryn Pjeralfia of Florida; and sister, Judy Fry (Harry) of Butler, Pa.
