David Ray Wilson. 73, of Granbury, Texas, passed away January 4, 2026.

A graveside service for David Wilson, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 10, 2026 at Algoma Cemetery South, Marshall Texas. Services are under the direction of Winscott Road Funeral Home, Benbrook, Texas.

David was born April 5, 1952, in Sherman, Texas to William “Booger” and Dorothy Mildred Wilson. He passed away on January 4, 2026 in Granbury, Texas surrounded by his loving wife, after a lengthy illness of Frontal Temporal Dementia.

In 1970, he graduated from Whitewright High School and was salutatorian in his class. David enjoyed playing high school football and was a lineman on his team. He married the love of his life, Dana Dunn on December 31, 1981. During his construction career, he was a recipient of numerous awards and recognition for his outstanding job performance for each company that he worked for.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Weldon Wilson.

David is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Dana Wilson of Granbury; stepson, Kyle Dunn and wife, Deborah of Glen Rose; grandchildren, Tyler Brackett and wife, Kara of Godley, Morgan Brackett, Kylie Brackett, Conner Brackett all of Burleson, and Stephan Dunn and wife, Savannah of McKinney; his great-grandchildren, Brazos Brackett, Savanna Brackett of Godley, June Dunn and Henry Dunn of McKinney. He is also survived by his brother, Scott Wilson and wife, Lesa of Austin and two nephews, Lee Wilson and wife, Beth of Jackson, Tennesse, and Michael and Rachel Wilson of Dripping Springs.
