WHITE SETTLEMENT -- Dannie left our world on Friday, May 6, 2016, after 10 years of serious health issues. His struggle was real and his pain relentless, but through it all, he stayed positive, up-beat, and smiling. He was famous for saying, “it is what it is” and was a great inspiration to many. He was an inventive, unique person who loved life, and it showed in all he did. He was teased about being a cross between McGuyver and a mountain man because he could figure a way to do anything.
Dannie loved his profession and was an expert. Thanks to him the public gets to enjoy the hundreds of restaurants in which he did the steel erection. But more than that, he cherished his family and loved the time he could spend with them. That's what was most important to him.
Rest easy Dannie…you will never be forgotten because your legacy lives on in your wonderful family. He leaves behind his children, Jimi Gaskins, Dana Gaskins, David and his wife, Sandy Gaskins, Dannie Gaskins, Dustie and his wife, Tricia Gaskins; his former wife and friend, Barbara Gaskins. He also leaves six grandchildren and one great-grandchild along with a host of friends. He is missed so much already.
