Connie Mack Fair

September 17, 1941 — October 2, 2025

Fort Worth

Connie Mack Fair passed peacefully in his sleep from this world to his heavenly home on October 2nd, 2025, at the age of 84. He was born on September 17th, 1941, in Dublin, Texas to Connie Orval Fair and Altha Pauline Thiebaud Fair. Connie Mack grew up and lived in Dublin until age 19 when he moved to Stephenville for college. He attended Tarleton State College for 2 years (before it became a University) and then transferred to Sam Houston State where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in General Ag in December of 1964. He married the love of his life, Gloria June Ratliff, on August 8th, 1964, in Stephenville, TX. He had a 32 year career with the USDA Soil Conservation Service. He and Gloria had three daughters, Pam, Darlene and Diane. He lost his beloved Gloria in 1988 to breast cancer and met his second wife Ruth Evelyn Armstrong two years later. They were married on July 28th, 1990, in Canada, Ruth's home country. Ruth moved to Texas with him after their honeymoon and they eventually settled and built a house in Fort Worth to be closer to their daughters and grandchildren.

After his retirement he continued to work in various jobs which included building houses, land surveying, and senior work at TTI in Fort Worth for 15 years. He enjoyed his woodworking and gave away the different crosses he made and painted. He also constructed rocking horses, quilt racks, and window shelves. He used his talents to travel and work with Builders for Christ on several different projects over the years. He was also an avid participant in The Gideons and gave away many bibles during his travels.

He was a devoted member of the First Baptist Church in Benbrook for many years where he served as a Deacon, was a member of the choir, served as a Sunday School teacher, and helped with Vacation Bible School and children's Sunday School. His church and service to God were very important to him.

He is survived by his brother Jimmie Neal Fair and his three daughters and families: Pam and Keith Van Horne and grandchildren Tiffany and Nathan, Darlene Fair and granddaughter Connie Renae, and Diane and Trey Tovar and grandchildren Payton and Tanner. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews who fondly referred to him as "Mack" or "Uncle Mack."

In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to The Gideons International on behalf of Connie M. Fair.
