BENBROOK --
Clarence Ottis Turner, 70, peacefully left this world the same as he lived his life, caring for family and friends, sharing all he had, Thursday, Feb. 18, 2016, at his home in Benbrook.
Funeral:
3 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Winscott Road Funeral Home, 1001 Winscott Road, Benbrook. Visitation: 1 p.m. to service time Monday.
Clarence Ottis Turner was born July 26, 1945, in Barnhart, son of the late Clarence and Dora Turner. He graduated from Barnhart High School and began work with the Texas Department of Public Safety Highway Patrol. Later, Ottis went into oilfield sales. When he was younger, Ottis played basketball and was a member of the Masonic Lodge.
Ottis married Larisa in 2006 and they made their home in Benbrook. He was a Christian and very charitable.
Ottis was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors:
Wife, Larisa Turner; children, Lisa Tarango and Ottis Turner Jr.; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sisters, Marie Fowler, Geneva Phillips and Helen Klipstine; stepchildren, Veronica Shapoval and Alex Turner; two stepgrandchildren; and a host of loving friends.
