Charles "Charlie" Pierson

Charles Allen Pierson “Charlie”, “Allen”, 85, of Fort Worth, Texas and Riverton, Wyoming passed away March 16, 2022, at his home.

Charles Allen Pierson was born July 20, 1936, to Charles Oscar Pierson and Beatrice “Bea” Marie Pierson in Riverton, Wyoming. After graduating from high school in Riverton he served in the Army National Guard and the U.S. Navy for four years during the Korean War.

After his military service he moved home to Riverton and met his wife, Kay Ibach in March of 1960. They wed on June 3, 1960, and they went on to have four boys, Charles “Eddie”, Richard “Butch”, Dennis and Kenny.

Charlie went on to have a 30-year career at Raychem Corp, and after retiring he worked with his wife, Kay in the National Parks Service at Yellowstone National Park as well as several other national and state parks during the summers from 1993 to 2008. In the winters he spent every moment he could spoiling his five grandchildren, Ricky, Chaz, Matt, Allison, and Christy.

Charlie is predeceased by his parents; brother, Larry and wife, Marilyn; sister, Shirley; sister-in-law, Paulette; and grandson, Ricky.

He is survived by his wife, Kay Pierson; brothers, Glen Pierson (Dorothy), and Rick Pierson; four sons, Eddie, Richard, Dennis and Kenny (Karon) Pierson; four of his grandchildren and their spouses, Chaz Pierson (Morgan), Matt Pierson (Sandra Vaquera), Allison Pearson (Justin Phillips), and Christy Burman (Dalton); five great-grandchildren, Dillon, Lauren, Wyatt, Skye, and Lea; his wife’s brothers and wives, Denny and Sharon Ibach, and Gale and Linda Ibach; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside Services with military honors:  11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 9, 2022 at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, Dallas, Texas.
