Cathay Hankerson

Cathay Jean Hankerson, 75, of Aledo, Texas, passed away August 23, 2019 in a Fort Worth hospital after a lengthy illness.

Memorials : In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Cathay was born in Ravenna, Ohio on December 25, 1943 to parents, Bob and Beulah Henninger. She graduated from Ripon High School, Ripon, Wisconsin in 1962. Married for 54 years to Howard L. Hankerson, her high school sweetheart, she raised three sons, James Robert, Christopher Lee, and Keith Alan, while living in various locations around the world as the wife of an Air Force Sergeant. Cathay enjoyed gardening and traveling to exotic places around the world and in the 50 states.

Cathay is preceded in death by her parents, a sister Cindy, and three brothers, Robert, Roger, and Ronald.

Survivors: Surviving her are her husband, Howard; their three sons; an older brother, John of Wisconsin; and four grandchildren by Keith and Tammie Hankerson, Logan, Sheridan, Jessica, and Pike.
