Carl Mark Hinrichs, 60, passed away on December 21, 2019 in Fort Worth, Texas.
Funeral Service: 1:00 p.m., Friday, Dec. 27, 2019 at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 4513 Williams Road, Fort Worth 76116. Visitation: 6 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday at Winscott Road Funeral Home, 1001 Winscott Road, Benbrook 76126. All are welcome to attend his visitation and service and celebrate Mark’s life.
Mark was born July 29, 1959 in St. Louis, Missouri. He graduated from the University of Missouri in Columbia in 1983 with a baccalaureate degree in Mechanical Engineering. Mark was employed at Lockheed Martin for 29 years. He worked on projects such as the F16 and F35 and developed software that was adopted industry and worldwide. Mark then earned a teaching certificate in secondary math. He continued as a substitute teacher and was awarded Substitute Teacher of the Year for Aledo ISD in 2017.
Mark was a great family man and a loving father. He married his wife, Marlene Dover on July 7, 1984 and they had two daughters. Mark also has four grandchildren, who he greatly loved and enjoyed spending time with.
Mark was a devout Christian and was an active member at Redeemer Lutheran Church. He was a trustee, a Sunday School teacher, an usher, and financial secretary. He enjoyed playing softball, photography, and spending time with his family. He was a Dallas Cowboys and Aledo football fan.
He is preceded in his death by his parents, Carl and Patricia Hinrichs of St. Louis, Missouri.
Survivors: His loving wife, Marlene Hinrichs; his two daughters, Christina Hinrichs and Catherine Duarte; his brother, Eric Hinrichs of St. Louis, Missouri; and his four grandchildren, Carl Hinrichs, Helen Jordan, Hayden and Harper Duarte.
