Brian Smith

Brian Earl Smith, 77, of Granbury, Texas, passed away on December 23, 2018 after battling Pancreatic Cancer.

Memorial service: 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at Granbury First United Methodist Church, 301 Loop 567, Granbury, Texas.

Memorials: In lieu of flowers, to Granbury First United Methodist Church Food Bank.

Brian was born to Shirley and Carl Smith in Chicago, Illinois on November 7, 1941. Brian attended the University of Houston where he received his Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering. His knowledge of computers helped him secure a position at Sinclair's Oil Refinery in Houston, Texas. In Granbury, Brian worked for the Hood County Appraisal District. After retiring in 2010, Brian became an active member of the Mid-Cities Stamp club where he very much enjoyed being with other collectors.

Brian was preceded in death by his parents, and his younger brother, Alan Bruce Smith.

Survivors: Brian is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Donna Smith; his two daughters, Cindy Fatkin and husband, Eric of Manvel, Texas, and Sandra Mason of Dallas; grandchildren, Devin Tuggle and husband, Jonathan, Connor Fatkin, Ashley Mason, Tori Mason, and Kendal Mason; sister-in-law, Cherryl Smith (Alan's wife), and their children, Melinda Phelps, Robert and Jason Smith.
