Billie “Bill” Nash, 81, passed away peacefully in his sleep Tuesday morning, January 21, 2020 in Fort Worth, Texas.

Memorial Service: A service in his memory will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, January 25th at Williams Road Baptist Church, 4601 Williams Road, Benbrook, Texas 76116, with Pastor Howard Holmes officiating.

Bill was born March 18, 1938 to James E. Nash and Willie Lamprich Nash in Kurthwood, Louisiana. He graduated from DeRidder High School in DeRidder, Louisiana in 1957. Bill married Rebecca Board in 1966 and moved to the Fort Worth area in 1967. He retired from Lockheed Martin after working there for over 22 years.

Bill was a devoted follower of Jesus Christ and worked tirelessly in his local Baptist church. He graduated from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1978 with a Diploma in Theology. Bill was a licensed minister, and as such, ministered to people in nursing homes for about five years. At various times, he also served as a Sunday School teacher, substitute preacher, music minister, soundboard engineer and deacon, among other leadership roles.

Survivors: Bill is survived by his loving wife, Rebecca (Board) Nash of Benbrook; their daughter, Jennifer Nash of Nashville, Tennessee; his brother, Howard Nash of Moss Bluff, Louisiana; his sister, Sue Grigg of Central, Louisiana; and numerous nieces and nephews.
