Betty Jean Greene

Betty Jean Greene, 83, loving mother and grandmother, passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2025, surrounded by her loving family saying their final goodbyes.

Betty was born January 22, 1942, in Montgomery, Alabama to Tommie Handsome and Virginia Beard Handsome. She had three siblings, Clara, Dorothy, and Roosevelt.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 42 years, Jimmie Lee Greene in 2004.

Betty is survived by six sons, Michael 65, Jimmie 62, Tommie 61, Patrick, 60, Anthony 57, and Derrick 53; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She also had 12 non-biological grandchildren. And she was blessed with four daughters-in-law, Pamela, Rita, Brenda, and Hannah; and very close family friend, Maria Hernandez.

Celebration of Life Visitation: 2-4:00 p.m., Monday, May 5, 2025, at Winscott Memorial Chapel, 1001 Winscott Road, Benbrook, Texas 76126. She will join her husband later at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas, Texas.
