Barry and his twin sister, Barbara, were born on Sept. 26, 1939, to Harvey E. & Dorothy Mitchell in Lynn, MA. Immediately after his 18th birthday, he enlisted in the US Air Force, where he proudly served for 20 years and retired as MSGT in 1976. In 1978, Barry began his 21 year career at General Dynamics/Lockheed, from which he again retired in 1999. In 2001 he reached the age of 62, and after retiring for the 3rd time, was extremely proud to be "triple-dipping." Barry loved the Red Sox, Texas Rangers, crossword puzzles, karaoke, and Hostess cupcakes. Above all, he really lived for taking care of his family and spending time with his grandchildren. He will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, honesty, and a quick witted sense of humor. Barry was preceded in death by his parents; brother, David Mitchell; and sister, Barbara Levasseur.
