Barbara Harwood

Barbara Jean Harwood, age 81, of Cresson, Texas passed away on July 9, 2025, due to natural causes.

Barbara was born on October 22, 1943, in Burnet, Texas. She was married to Harry Harwood, mother of Teresa Hale and Priscilla Harwood, and worked as a loyal waitress at the Iron Skillet for 34 years. She loved to play bingo and Yahtzee, to listen to Elvis Presley and old country, and to admire the photos of her family hanging on the walls.

Barbara Harwood is survived by her children Teresa Hale and Priscilla Harwood. Grandchildren; Jeremy Hopkins, Ludy Hopkins, Callie Greenwalt, Tatum Delk, Colby Young. Great grandchildren; Tristin Morgan, Brynlee Cashion-Scott, Jaxxon Greenwalt. Great greatgrandchild Briar Morgan, Brothers; Jackie, Clayton, Kenneth, Randy. Sisters Donna, Darla, Dianna, Dayna. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Gladys Jowers and Edveard Jowers. Husband Harry Harwood. Brothers Bobby and David Jowers. Sisters; Linda Edwards and Brenda Cushenberry.

Funeral services for Barbara Harwood will be held on Thursday, July 24th at 12:00 pm. Viewing will be from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm, at Winscott Road Funeral Home in Benbrook, Texas. Graveside services will be at 2:30 pm at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas, Texas.
