FORT WORTH --
Alice Harwick, 92, a loving wife, mother and daughter, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, Jan. 4, 2016.

Alice's life will be celebrated at a later date.
Alice Christen Harwick was born Dec. 21, 1923, in Hillsboro, Ill., daughter of the late Albert and Margaret Ruth Prough Christen. She met her late husband, Kenneth Harwick, at a USO dance during World War II and they were married in 1944. Alice loved to sew and crochet and was a real champion of video games. In fact, she was known as "Grandma Zelda" because of her expertise. In addition, Alice was an avid reader and would read four to five books a week.
Alice was a devoted Christian and was very active in church, where she played the organ and piano.
Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Harwick; a son, Kerry Eldon Harwick; brother, George Allen Christen; and sister, Aileen Vinyard.
Survivors:
Children, Elaina Harwick of Fort Worth, Alan Harwick and wife, Mary Ann, of Iowa, and Alisa Small and husband, Ron, of Denver, Colo.; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Dee Harwick of Denver, Colo.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
